10-14-08 confirmed as hoax?

Over the last few weeks, many forums and blogs were dominated by just one topic: 10-14-08. An Australian actress slash medium claimed that she had been receiving channeled messages from the so called Federation of Light, who announced their arrival on the specific date of October 14th, 2008.

As you all realize, this didn't happen. Now, are we dealing with a hoax, an unfortunate incident of maybe some innocent naivity? I'm inclined to say the latter. The medium, Blossom Goodchild, may have been receiving some sort of information, but probably not from the source she first claimed it to be. It might have been some other source, or as many would think, it was in her head all along. It doesn't really matter now; fact is that she released a video on October 16th in which she openly states not to understand what happened. Now that deserves some respect. At least she didn't just continue to claim that 'maybe they will come, but a few days later', like so many others did do in the days after October 14th.

A quick conclusion is that, in my opinion, Blossom Goodchild may have been at the base of all this but things only got hectic when other so called mediums 'confirmed' the date. Where did they get this information from? Were they just trying to sail along with Blossom's temporary success? That deserves some extra attention, I feel.

These days we've also seen many people drawing very fast conclusions, either positive or negative. Now this is something we'll want to avoid at The Uncoverer, where we try to keep an open mind, but not without using our brains!

Below, view Blossom's message from October 16th:
